About Will Hopkins

Will is the owner and president of Aureus Arcus Advising Ltd.  After a long and varied career in Information Technology he founded the company to provide strategic advice on IT and business matters.

His career has been divided almost evenly between IT leadership positions (VP IT, CIO) and service delivery. He has been the IT leader in Liquor Distribution and Retailing, Building Materials Distribution, Business Process Outsourcing (HR/Payroll) and Higher Education. In most of these roles he has sat as a member of the executive and participated extensively in the business. He has also held executive positions in strategic planning and corporate policy.

He has managed organizations that provide service delivery of IT infrastructure and IT professional services most notably in support of enterprise applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Ariba and JD Edwards.

He has consulted in organizations and industries as varied as provincial governments, crown corporations, aircraft maintenance and operations, automobile manufacturing, grocery distribution, heavy equipment distribution, and industrial relations.

He has a life long love of math and  science. He holds a BSc (Hon) in math. In quiet times he enjoys a good  cryptic crossword.
