Aureus Arcus Advising Ltd. was founded in 2011 by Will Hopkins and is the continuation of his consulting business previously conducted as a sole proprietorship.

Aureus Arcus is Latin for golden arc or golden bow. The golden arc is directly related to the golden rectangle and the golden mean and is reflected in the company logo. The logo is composed of an infinite regress of squares forming a golden rectangle. The length of the sides of successive squares is in the golden ratio.

Inside each square is an arc of a quarter circle. The arcs form an approximation to the golden arc which is actually a logarithmic spiral that passes through the common vertex of each pair of successive squares.

The Greeks and others believed the golden rectangle had the most pleasing proportions  of all rectangles. In the case of Aureus Arcus it represents the balance and proportion of our advice.
